Dog abandonment is a prevalent issue in the UAE, with a significant number of dogs being left homeless and neglected each year. This issue is multifaceted, stemming from various factors such as impulse pet purchasing, financial commitment and a lack of awareness about the responsibilities of dog ownership.
Solution
This eLearning course delves into the multifaceted aspects of dog ownership, empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible and dedicated pet owners. It is tailored to a UAE context, and incorporates local legal requirements, while highlighting common issues pertaining to dog ownership within the country. To enhance engagement and knowledge retention, the course employs a variety of interactive elements
Overview
In collaboration with various animal welfare shelters, this project was developed in 2023 to address the issue of dog abandonment in the UAE. The project consists of one module comprising two units, each unit comprises three lessons. Each unit contains one knowledge check, and learners are required to pass and end of course assessment.
